Drew’s journey with TGCP…

Exceptional Young People

Drew Rees
14 years old
Been attending for 1 year
Overcame low confidence
Now volunteers as a peer mentor
Ambitions to work in Agriculture

Drew is 14 years old and first attended TGCP in January 2024. Before coming to Game Change, he was being bullied in school and online out of school.

Despite his parents speaking to teachers, the issues remained unresolved and Drew hit ‘rock bottom’ shutting himself away in his room.

Drew’s parents were very concerned and contacted TGCP, hoping it would give him an opportunity to do something he enjoys and meet new people.

Qualifications achieved: Basic safeguarding, Youth Leadership Award, First Aid at Work
Volunteer Hours: 200+

Game Change has really improved my life. I was made to feel welcome from day one, no one gets judged and we are all equal. I really enjoy the mechanics course and feel I have fitted in here. I feel honoured to have become a Peer Mentor which has boosted my selfconfidence and helped me gain my Youth Leadership Skills Level 2. Attending TGCP has made me realise there are ways outside of mainstream school to gain qualifications to assist my future, in an environment where no one bullies me and doing things I enjoy
