Non-Executive Director
(Voluntary, unpaid role)
This is an exciting time to join The Game Change Project CIC, as we set out our new strategy for the next 4 years, retaining focus on providing a lifeline for disengaged young people in Powys by providing a practical, outdoor learning environment where they can develop the confidence, motivation, and skills to grow, thrive and contribute to mid Wales.
The energy, enthusiasm, commitment and experience of our Board Members and staff help us transform young lives. In 2022, our work was recognised at Powys Business Awards, and we are keen to continue to develop with the evolving needs of the youth of Powys.
Board Members come from all walks of life and backgrounds, but the commonality they have is wanting to progress the operation of a sound community interest company which delivers local services, for local young people.
Over the next 2 years, we need to undertake a full review of our funding opportunities, looking to attract longer-term funding that secures our service delivery for the duration of our strategy and beyond. We are therefore seeking committed individuals from the local community who can share their knowledge, experiences and skills and support the work of our organisation.
We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in the following areas:
- Paid or voluntary work for similar organisations
- Fundraising and financial management
- Education or vocational training.
An enhanced DBS check is required prior to commencement of the role along with proof of identity and 2 references stating your suitability to work with children and young people (in line with our safer recruitment policy and procedures)
These roles are unremunerated, but reasonable travel expenses will be covered. The appointment is for a two-year term, which can be renewed at the discretion of the Board.
